In Estonia, the first 3 days of sick leave are unpaid (employee co-pay). Days 4-8 are paid by your employer at 70% of your average salary. From day 9 onward, Tervisekassa (Health Insurance Fund) pays 70% of your average daily income. From 2026, employers can optionally pay from day 1.
